KREWE TV

KREWE TV is a new and exciting television show series that
started it's 12 week series on March 30th, 2007. It is now
into it's 2nd full season and going strong.

The show is to educate and inform the general public about who and
how the local parades are put together by the krewes in the Tampa Bay area.

Each one hour show will provide two half hour segments or a full hour
of interviews with krewes from that make up the parades in the Tampa Bay area.

There will also be a mix of photos from the krewes and
video taped footage from past parades and other surprises.

We hope you will be entertained and informed and
that you will tell family and friends to watch and enjoy!

The show is produced before a live studio audience
in Hillsborough County at the studios of
Tampa Bay Community Network

The general public is invited to be a part of the live audience
but seating is limited on a  first come, first serve basis.
We ask that you come early! 6:30 PM is a good time to arrive.

Latest News!
Greg Huskins has taken over the role of Producer of Krewe TV.
This was due to the stations funding cut that doesn't allow for
Hillsborough County residents to produce shows any longer at
the station. Since Greg lives in the city of Tampa he is allowed
to produce programing.

I want to congratulate Greg on the outstanding job he is doing.
Greg has put together a beautiful set with stained wood that really
stands out nicely on camera. New seating and a large area rug
finish off the set as well.

3rd Season

My web programing pc has been down for six months but is now working again.
Sorry to take so long to update this web site.  The 3rd season of Krewe TV is on
a roll and if you haven't seen it yet you will be in for a surprise. It's a beautiful
new set. Greg Huskins, our new producer has a veteran crew that is now doing
a fine job with the technical aspects of the show. Better audio and more and
different camera angles. I hope to post new photos from the shows and also give
kudos to the new crew members who are making this show a continuing success.

7/13/07

2nd Season Canceled

We had a good 12 week roll in the first series of production.
We came a long way from our first blah set to a colorful set
the last show. There had been technical problems all along
the way, most notoriously was the audio. Either we had a non-
working microphone or noise coming over the air that we
couldn't fix. It's been a struggle to get it right but we did
pretty darn good and everyone had a great time, especially
the guests who most said they would love to come on the show
again. We'd love to see everyone have a chance to get on the
air and talk up their krewe. It's a great way to get new members
and talk to the public via the call-in phone lines. So, until
next show we hope you enjoyed the trip and we'll see you at the
next parade of social.

6/21/07 - 2nd Season Starts This Friday

We had so much fun these past twelve shows that we decided we'd do it again.
 Many of you that have been on the show have told us you really had a great time
and that you would love to do it again. So, we are giving you another chance to
do so. There are still many more Tampa Bay Area krewes that have yet to make
their appearance for one reason or another. The opportunity awaits you to tell
all of Tampa Bay about your krewe and what it is you do. It's a great way to
attract new members also. Since the krewes all do some sort of charity work
you can express this on the show. Most people have no idea what a krewe is
all about. This is a groundbreaking show that as far as anyone knows, has never
been done before but many have said that it should have been done. So, here
we are. Let's do it! Call to schedule an appearance. See info on this web page.

5/30/07 - NEXT SEASON, ONE HOUR EARLIER!

The notification letter was received today from the tv station informing us of the day and time
awarded to us from the lottery pick for time slots.  We have been awarded Friday's at 6:00 PM.
Be sure to set your DVR's and VCR's for this one hour earlier time period, 6:00 pm - 7:00 PM

There is a one week period of maintenance that the station is closed to the public and all
production. The new season with our first show will start June 29th, Friday.

4/28/07 - Talent Releases

Talent Releases are required to be on the show as a guest or to
be in the audience. Request a form to be emailed to you and
fill it out, sign and date it and bring with you to the show. Or,
you can download the forms at www.tbcn.org.
Talent Releases for Minors are also required. Forms are also
available at the front desk when you arrive at the station.
Hand the completed forms back to the front desk person
or one of the crew members of the show.

 Also, talent releases are required for any pictures or video
of people shown over the air during the show. So, take
the time to have these releases filled out and signed by all who's
image you want to show on the air. General crowd shots
at socials and events do not count.

Next 12 week series application has been submitted to
continue to bring you Krewe Tv.

We hope to continue our broadcast on Friday nights at 7:00 PM
for the next series but we won't know until a couple of weeks before
the series starts. Alternate days submitted are Tuesday or
Thursday at 7:00 PM. We will let you know here when we know.
